Pros

The company’s team structure works well to provide good service to clients. Teams are structured to match up with various verticals and allow for a level of subject matter expertise that is tough to beat. They put out some solid creative work overall and there is good talent within the agency.

Cons

The company is behind the curve in a major way when it comes to new technology. They rely on outside vendors to handle the digital needs of their clients. They are unwilling to invest in the talent needed to take their work into the digital space. If you’re looking for a company that consistently ignores feedback from great talented personnel, this is the place. They seem to think free pizza, hard cider and some pretty landscaping makes up for serious deficiencies within the leadership team. Cliques abound and nepotism is rampant. It’s not about what you know, but who you know, who you’re friends with, who you’re married to and who you’re related to that makes a difference. Team members have been verbally abused by leadership staff in front of others. Narcissistic personalities in the leadership team are completely unchecked and have resulted in team members feeling threatened, vulnerable and helpless. The company tenet of “do the right thing” applies only to staff as leadership manipulates team members, encouraging them to open up and discuss concerns and then using those concerns against them later. Key leadership members are arrogant to the point of undermining the confidence of the men and women working for them. Multiple attempts to raise awareness to the issues have gone unheeded.

Pros

Lots of free food. Dog friendly. Casual dress code. A few really great people (and some not-so-great). Great about working from home in bad weather. It is often a fun place to work, but ...

Cons

Very low salaries, and company 401k contributions are dismal. Management shows favoritism toward certain individuals (mostly creatives). Non-creative staff gets little recognition. Many new hires (newly created positions) without clear definition of roles. No opportunities for advancement, and no training or professional development offered. Management is very unfocused (or more accurately, they change the focus frequently, or focus on small, insignificant things). Some in leadership roles are not qualified, or have an inflated sense of their expertise. Management and team leaders could do with some actual management training -- from outside. They moved to a new building in 2018 and have already outgrown the space.
