Pros

If you are entry-level or have at minimum a High School education, Fastxchange is a good place to learn about SAP and ERP systems in the Supply Chain/ Logistics field. The pay is decent, I began at around $40-45K per year. They offer a yearly raise and great benefits.

Cons

Work life balance is a compromise. Management is very demanding and has a tendency to set you up to fail and will request that you come in on the weekends at last minute notice to fix their mistakes. My take on it is that the company grew too quickly and attained more business than management had the experience for. The environment is toxic, and as mentioned in a previous comment, there is an in crowd vs. out crowd mentality. The turnover rate is very high. There isn't an HR department to file complaints and the CEO's are very hands-off. Most people are hired by referral. There isn't a training structure and you learn as you go. This job is very high-stress.

Pros

Friendly work environment, where colleagues are like friends/family. Coworkers are very friendly and there are lots of opportunities to feel apart of the team. Management emphasizes teamwork and cooperation to meet goals. There is always someone that is willing to help in both tough situations; both work and personal. I started working here a little over a year ago and from day 1, I was treated with respect and kindness. Even though the atmosphere is relaxed and laid back, the work is fast paced and demanding. Everyone loves to have fun but there is great balance of both fun and work at this office. I am very happy to be working here, because not only do I have a chance to learn and grow in the field of procurement and supply chain, but I am also surrounded by colleagues that care and watch each others back. Also, there are great benefits, like health and life insurance, vision, dental and 401k.

Cons

Like any job, there are draw backs. The hours can be long and weekends are sometimes a necessary evil. But, it is these instances where the teamwork and collaboration become most evident. Oh, and don't get me started on the emails! But then again, this is true for most corporate jobs. In summary, this is a great place to work with a group of solid, dependable colleagues that work hard, while still knowing how to have fun. What more could you ask for?
