Pros

The pay is ok and the contract management is awesome! The co-workers are great. The company management at corporate is the issue.

Cons

The company approaches its employees with a dream or a corporate strategy of "we are a different kind of company". We don't have a big corporate board that we answer to. There is just Sharon and so she can run the company the way she wants. They portray a sense of "we care about you" and once a year they have a "hearts and minds" meeting where they give you a cookie and a soda and ask you about what good things are happening. This year it was "what are you grateful for". But the companies management does not follow their own ideal! They will fire you for doing something unethical or morally wrong but the highest level employees don't follow any moral code or ethics code. Money has corrupted yet another potentially good company. The company got big fast and doesn't have the people in place to handle it so they are playing catch up. In reality they offer nothing different from any other contracting company and in fact offer less. They don't have tuition reimbursement, bonuses and their "merit increases" or yearly pay raises where just recently started. The yearly increase is sold as a merit increase but is really a coat of living increase as it is 10s of cents not dollars. The health insurance is abysmal for a family. Although they grew in size they were not proactive in pursuing a better insurance at a cheaper rate, they just accepted the increase.

Pros

Okay pay, 10 basic paid federal holidays. 5 sick days for the first year of employment, 5 personal holiday days. But those days are not paid unless you've accrued the time previously.

Cons

Accruing time for sick days or days off is next to impossible. only 1.5 hours are accrued for every 80 hours worked. the time clock system is over complicated and unnecessarily so. Only 8% of each division can take a certain day off (i.e. black friday, christmas eve, etc) and that usually means about 8 people. More often than not, there is no work for you when you come in for your shift and all the team leaders are usually in a meeting for 45 minutes at the beginning of the shift. overtime must be scheduled and verified. The environment is reminiscent of high school in that talking is treated like a crime. training isn't promised and doesn't seem to be a priority so almost everyone has no idea what they're doing most of the time. really really high turnover rate means work is spread thin and people get forgotten about.
