Pros
The main positive is that you’re largely left to get on with your work on client site without being micromanaged, and there’s generally no pressure to do additional work outside of your day job, which makes work-life balance easier to manage.
Cons
The downside is that the company is very profit-driven and engagement often feels one-sided - they’ll reach out if it benefits them but not otherwise. Once you’re placed on a client site there’s very little interest in your professional development or wellbeing, and the relationship can feel transactional rather than supportive, with limited investment in people beyond billable work.
