Working at FDG - Finance Manager FDG Employee Review

This place is great for people who like to work independently and in a quiet work environment. There is not a lot of gossip going around and everyone will be respected equally.

New employees have to work hard to find their place in the company. Sink or swim attitude. You have to see it as a challenge.

The benefits package is wonderful and even covers spouses and children.

The company has I believe 9 owners who double as project managers for each project. Unfortunately, there is no FDG drafting standard. As a drafter you have to cater to the specific project managers drafting preferences. This sometimes conflicts with the “checkers” preferences causing a lot of confusion. If the project is big enough you will have multiple drafters and multiple checkers working on the same product in a different part of the project. This has resulted in two drafters producing drastically different drawings for the same product. This in return falls on the drafters shoulders to try and explain the disconnect.
