Pros
Getting paid on time is about it
Cons
From the owner down to his corporate management, is just trash. The greed that consumes them is off the charts. I’ve been a server for over 15 years and have never been treated so poorly. I worked at the PBR location and the money was great and I loved my coworkers, that is the only reason I stayed. During the last year at miracle miles, their lease renewal was being “reviewed” which was just another way of saying that they were on three month lease agreements until the mall finally gave Johnathan the boot in September. The A/C was out most of the summer. A manager of mine made comments in his report about it almost every single night he worked and NEVER got a response back. It was very difficult to be happy to show up when it was 80+ degrees indoors, customers and coworkers alike, completely miserable in the heat. I’m convinced that mr fine just didn’t want to fix it in order to save money. Not one customer ever was required to wait to be seated. The hostesses were trained strictly to fill seats. During slower nights when half the staff had been sent home and receiving a random late night rush, was really difficult to manage. You’d be cut down to an 8-12 table section with back to back tables, no discernment on management or the hosts’ part. Some managers would try to ‘help’ which never made anything easier because they were not servers. Running food and making sure the kitchen staff wasn’t completely belligerent, always seemed out of the question. The kitchen was actually the worst of it. The cooks and the kitchen managers would have daily drinking parties. By the time 10/11 pm rolled around I would specifically ask guests not to orders certain things because I knew the severely inebriated kitchen staff was not going to be able to prepare those items properly. Nothing was ever done about that. Despite it being a well known issue. I would like to add, in conclusion, that Johnathan Fine lost his space at miracle mile because he refused to even negotiate payment for the months they were shut down during Covid despite having received a giant PPP loan that was supposed to cover that. We were all sad to leave our team and our work home but didn’t question miracle miles decision for a moment. This company makes for bad business, all around.
