Pros

Everyone AE and above gets their own office, if you're into having your own workspace as opposed to having an open collaborative environment.

Cons

They lie to you in your interview and tell you what accounts you'll be put on. When your first day comes around you're all of a sudden on completely different accounts. No onboarding whatsoever. It's basically like, "Here's your computer. Bye!" My manager did not have an orientation schedule prepared for me because "she didn't have time to make one." No company culture. No one really speaks to each other because they're old up in their offices all day. Toxic environment. Some of my colleagues have been put on 6 accounts and expected to work long hours, holidays and weekends. One of the VPs once said one of the clients "canceled Christmas" and that we just have to deal with it. Hardly any positive feedback is ever given, only negative.

FINN Partners Response

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry you had a negative experience during your time at Finn Partners. Your feedback is not at all consistent with the results of our annual employee survey and also is not consistent with other feedback on Glassdoor. Our latest staff survey shows 90 percent of employees have positive opinions about Finn Partners as “a great place to work.” Additionally, 70 percent of our staff describe their work-life balance as “very good” or “pretty good,” and 83 percent say their job satisfaction at Finn Partners is the same or better than previous jobs. Furthermore, we are continuously working to improve our culture, an area where our staff currently rates us very high in terms of being generous (75%), respectful and supportive (88%), energetic and enthusiastic (83%) and even fun (80%). As is the case with most PR agencies, we do expect a measure of flexibility and assertiveness from our staff. We regret this opportunity did not work out for you or for the agency.

Pros

Prioritizes work-life balance and enormous openness to feedback.

Cons

Limited opportunities for growth (I was part of a team that had no promotions in 6+ years, despite the fact that all of them are amazing), DEI façade to "pretend" they're part of a progressive movement (I'm nonbinary, I said this in my application and interview process, and literally no one ever used my correct pronouns, especially my manager who I talked about this with several times), and there's a lot of chaos that folks simply accept as a fact of life rather than something to grow from and improve. There's simply no desire to collaborate for growth—literally one of the most dysfunctional places I've worked at.
