Pros

Easy to get in & easy way to build your resume. That is about it

Cons

You will never be able to build a career here. There have been people who have been in this company (also former M&I, Metavante) for 15-25+ minimum years. Expect to wait a very long time if you are interested in moving up in the company. Even then annual increases are so little usually 1-2%.. they are comparable to McDonalds or your local Grocery store. There was maybe 60% of great staff that made the company what it is. and about 35% of garbage supervisors / higher-ups who sits idly by, makes MORE MONEY, and does nothing because they are ENTITLED TO. These people are also been in the company for over 20 years, CAN'T FIRE EM, CAN'T LAY EM OFF, THEY HAVE (EXPERT KNOWLEDGE so they say), AND SUPERIOR SENIORITY. Last 5% are upper management of the company who spends all day coming to data and town hall meetings displaying their extreme wealth of company given Rolex Watches, $35,000 lunches with major clients. Company is very profitable if you listened to their quarterly meetings. Despite management always saying the company isn't doing too well.. the problem is with the outsourcing. Customer service will always be done over seas.. 0.50 - 1.00$ per person payroll vs 10.00-15.00 Don't bother wasting your time like i did. I did end up making it to a team leader role which only made 2$ more.. wasn't worth it working with the laziest people in the world and carrying a team on your back. You are in this for a LONG ONE and by the time you decide you are ready to leave, 5 short years of your life has gone by and you have built nothing but an early resume Also last but not least, everyone spends time at the office watching over others, they complain constantly and whine about what everyone else is doing. Half the people are over 55, and can barely work, they look like they might croak anytime. They will take their sweet *** time and compare themselves to others and tell management they work oh so hard while others are always sitting around talking. There is almost a non-existent atmosphere of professionalism. As for the culture? What culture... everyone in the office place has "clicks".. you have with those few people that you got along with, and everyone in there is like that. Now that site has moved to Dedham its like a place for walking Zombies. Expect the last FIS Site here in MA to close within 2 years. They are on verge of moving all the work to Little Rock as the PREMIER SITE. There should also only be a few years there before technology advances further and there will be no need for labor workers, as everything becomes automated. True story, BELIEVE THAT FROM BOSTON

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
