Pros

Innovation and patents speak for themselves.

Cons

Culture borderlines toxic, especially if you are not political. People get promoted here based on the boys club and not their talent, so there are a lot of arrogant under-skilled managers who are protected. I cannot recommend this company to any colleagues. Beware!

Pros

Really impressed with how the senior leadership team has responded during 2020-2021. They are transparent and have been understanding of all of the challenges people faced during that time. The flat org structure and startup-like feel mean lots of opportunities to work collaboratively and on new things.

Cons

Need to improve diversity and representation in senior levels of management.

Pros

Small Company: Since the company is relatively small, you get a lot of opportunities to touch a wide range of technology fields across software solutions, compute, networking, and storage. A lot of hands on opportunities for experience across multiple brands in each field. Great Coworkers: The work environment has been an overall positive experience. Very few conflicts between coworkers in my tenure. Competent Staff: The staff hired has more generally been experts in their fields. They have been competent in their roles and responsibilities and are all extremely helpful.

Cons

Company Direction: The last several years, Faction has changed its IaaS mindset to a "Multi-Cloud" mindset as seen in their marketing materials. While this has broadened our marketability, they have locked into searching for only large deals and it is not sustainable. Leadership: Leadership has slowly changed over the years as well. They have not taken the opinions of their engineering staff into consideration anymore in their objective changes and it has caused some employees to leave as a direct and indirect result.
