Pros
- Minimal supervision. As in, you won't even get asked how your night is going. So if you're into that. - 8 hour shifts. Great work/home balance. - Can wear basically any clothing. Shorts, sweatpants, any closed toe shoe.
Cons
- Minimal superivision. Met my supervisor once, which was less than 5 minutes. She told me to complete a training packet on my own over 2 weeks. Not even a "nice to meet you" or anything like that. The most she said in our conversation was "I won't be your supervisor long." - Clearly managment and HR has a lot on their plate. At least they must if they forget to inform you about being terminated. - HR felt gutless overall. Calls during hours they likely knew I wouldn't be availble to explain why the termination happened. They felt like the type to avoid confrontation, so I wasn't surpised. Just didn't feel professional at all. - Place is disgusting. Machines are caked in material and look like they've been running non-stop since the 90's. If the plant manager has to come in and work an 8 hour shift of just sweeping the floors, why not try to get some sort of standard cleaning in place? Just seems kinda goofy. -Typical manufacturing job where people make a hobby of complaining about other shifts. Overall just a confusing, chaotic, do anything, as long as machines run, type of plant. Everyone's experience is different, but mine definitely showed me why other factories stand far above this one.
