Pros
- Everyone is treated like they are part of the team, whether they are young, old, experienced or new to the industry.
- People are given opportunities to work to their strengths, excel if they want to.
- The motion design team is very strong, covering a lot of disciplines.
- There is never a technical question that doesn't get answered!
- Lots of companies in this industry rely on incentivising late workers to keep them clicking, but work hours and work/life balance is respected here as much as is possible. There are always some projects that creep but they tend to be resourced appropriately.
- Lots of support - technically, creatively and in managing projects.
- People are encouraged to do R&D - usually in their own time and occasionally in company time too when it has potential or follows a spec theme.
- Production pipelines are usually very proper and every step is done in a sequence.
Cons
Strict production pipelines are always a double edged sword and don't replace good old verbal communication.
The systems that are designed to keep projects manageable and always resumable by different people need to be learned and respected to work, and can be a sticking point for a lot of people.
