Pros

A few of the Managers, co-workers, and possible income from working in multiple departments. The pay was OK. The culture was different than other chain stores where I have worked, was inclusive and a little kooky, the dress code was relaxed where you could wear jeans to work, and the training program was excellent. Hi Fives and acting skills are mandatory.

Cons

While I was working there we had high turnover with new people hired after the 1st mass hiring event. There were no pay increases now matter how long you worked there.Your laundry bill will go up and have to invest $$ into extra shirts, jeans, and laundry detergent because no matter how hard you try you will get BBQ sauce on your clothes every shift. Management was very demanding and unreasonable unless you fit into an approved personality box -it was very small. Not allowed to wear gloves while handling sanitation chemicals which was recommended by the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) because of possible customer perceptions issues. Moving to new positions or management would take forever with slim chance of it happening at all. The culture and your compliance to it was heavy handed and mandatory.

Pros

Flexible hours, evenings and weekends to work around f/t day job, variety, fairly easy. Earn tips. Not as much as a server, but helpful considering the wage.

Cons

One of the managers in particular has a fragile ego/insecurities and tends to go on power trips. He takes out his mood on employees. There are also favorites, and if you are not one of them he does not treat you well. Yelling, condescension, snide comments, etc. Some employees have worked there for MANY years and still make the same wage they did when they were hired. Experience, leadership & training needs to be recognized and rewarded.
