Pros

I've worked at a huge range of workplaces and Fanhouse is truly something special. I am constantly doing work that energises me while surrounded by super smart, highly driven, down to earth people. I learn so much every week from my coworkers, and I have a lot of respect for our leadership and their commitment to putting people first. Additionally, there's something really special about being in a place where everyone wants to be there. Everyone here clearly cares a lot about creators. It's really inspiring. I feel seen, recognised, and I often feel like I am making impact. I truly feel like I am set up to do my best work here.

Cons

Less of a con and more of an observation. As with most startups, hours can be wild. I am really impressed by Fanhouse's culture of respecting work/life balance. There are certainly people who work wild hours, but I have never felt pressure from anyone to work beyond my standard 9-5.

Pros

- good pay. I got paid $20/hour for a part-time marketing role while in school - high-impact work. I feel like you really get to work on something that feels meaningful. I get to talk to creators and see how the work I do is helping them and it feels like you get to change lives and that the company makes decisions that are really creator-first and people-first. The company's first cultural value is creator-first which shows - good team and good people. Everyone is empathetic and understanding, good attitude towards things like mental health days or burnout, but everyone is also very hardworking. Team is also very diverse, a lot of women and people of color

Cons

- can be high-pressure or chaotic, a lot is always happening or changing that you need to get used to and be able to adapt quickly to, not like a normal large company where day-to-day does not often change
