Pros
- A lot of resources to burn whenever you want, H100s, GB200s, whatever. Leave a cluster running for a whole month, no one bats an eye
- A lot of autonomy, no one really reaches out to tell you anything or figure out what you're working on
Cons
- Random requests for projects to be completed with unrealistic expectations
- Pushing "to be the best" and "cracked" but the leads telling you of their own magnificence can't seem to solve any of the problems, for example, it's not really clear why the head of eng is the head of eng
- Never really felt like the leadership or leads were capable of truly valuing their employees, they just care about the bottom line, which is money
- It felt like customers' resources were viewed as dispensible, even when a customer had modest budget and could not afford the project
