Pros

Great benefits, friendly people, support functions are a potentially great career. Dock work is difficult, gritty, and not for light hearted. Good career opportunities if you are willing to move.

Cons

Long hours especially for supervisors. Work environment is hot, dirty, and dangerous on the dock if you aren't careful. Supervisors salaried are priced for 50 hours a week, so be expected to work 50 hours minimum. Some centers do NOT allow lunch breaks. Bad career opportunities if you are not willing to move.

Pros

- Insurance benefits are offered to part time employees - Pay is sufficient based on being part time - Management will send some communications regarding big picture matters - There is some leniency regarding calling out of work

Cons

- The requirement to maintain insurance is becoming more difficult - Employees are not paid the same rate simply based on tenor rather than qualifications - Management will rarely, if ever, address direct employee concerns - Leniency for calling out only seems to apply for certain employees - There is no standard of training or written expectations readily available once hired
