Pros

If you have no other choice, let them pay you and get your CDL through them. If possible, go to any other terminal within driving distance (even up to 45 minutes to an hour would be worth it to you in the long run).

Cons

Then, if you aren't getting hours and you're treated as a PT evening dock worker that needs to be oncall early every morning just in case you're actually needed for a driving run, you should seriously consider asking for transfer to a better terminal or get out entirely (once you got at least 6 months driving experience---a year is better if you can make it).

Great people, super comfortable work environment.

Cons

There is drama eventually. But kinda inevitable at any job.

Pros

- Insurance benefits are offered to part time employees - Pay is sufficient based on being part time - Management will send some communications regarding big picture matters - There is some leniency regarding calling out of work

Cons

- The requirement to maintain insurance is becoming more difficult - Employees are not paid the same rate simply based on tenor rather than qualifications - Management will rarely, if ever, address direct employee concerns - Leniency for calling out only seems to apply for certain employees - There is no standard of training or written expectations readily available once hired
