Micro-managed until you burn out - Senior Center Manager FedEx Office Employee Review

Pros

Upward mobility as long as you are willing to re-locate.

Cons

Too many to list. Managers are constantly given completely differing goals on a monthly basis, then micro-managed to the point of exhaustion. It's painfully obvious that upper management (District Managers, Managing Directors, and above) do not care at all about their employees. Upper management operates on a "just write them up" mentality. Managers are so task-saturated that there is simply not enough time in a day to complete all of them AND take care of customers. Salaried managers are "expected" to work 60-70 hours per week.

Pros

Have a Strong staff and great customers -for the most part. Don't see my boss but 1-2 month.

Cons

The corp fluff to accomplish something. Setting all these goals and targets then forget about 90% until it's time to do the yearly "anonymous" survey. Then you see which stores had how many surveys done. 🙄 Keep it short and sweet it would be more effective. Have outstanding customer service but don't do anything personal in your store to recognize your customers. Be different but don't show it 😂 Working for Amazon now with no more pay. It benefits the store not us in our paychecks. At times unrealistic expectations with a high volume store and a staff of 4-5.
