Decent - Technical Writer Federal Mfg Employee Review

I would have given 1 star, but decided to be generous and give Federal 2 stars, for the following reasons - I worked at Federal for over 4 years, and one of the few good things was the opportunity to receive multiple promotions during my time at Federal. Most my coworkers were also easy to get along with and good people.

During my time at Federal I had 3 different general managers, in the span of 4 years. Federal was bought by ProMach back in 2014 and i don't think there has been one decent manager since then. There are zero process/procedures in place when it comes to running a project, or in any department really, minus aftermarket. If you try and get some type of structure in place, no one wants to actually put in any effort to follow it. It is the blind leading the blind. No machines are being sold, warranty work is at an all time high, and customers are angry with the poor quality equipment they receive. They don't let go of people who don't know how to do their jobs, but will promote them or give them a raise. The pay out in the shop floor is unfair and needs to be reevaluated and set to fair market standards. I left Federal because there wasn't anymore room for me to grow there, and was only ever being taught bad practices within a company. This place is toxic, and not worth it. Save yourself the trouble.

New management is driving this place into the ground. Hard work and dedication are no longer valued.
