Pros

The colleagues are friendly because we sit together in the trenches. However, since communication in the workplace is largely prevented, meetings after work are necessary.

Cons

Working atmosphere There is a KPI system against which all employees are measured. There are clear guidelines for this, e.g. how many calls must be made per day, etc. This can and is checked online at any time by the supervisor. Toilet visits are also timed. Communication with other departments is prohibited and is controlled by superiors. Closing doors is forbidden because the manager wants to listen in on every conversation. Work-life balance Overtime is expected, which is directly stated as such by the superior. Career/continuing education No advancement opportunities available. The requirement of the KPI system is seen as further training here. Dealing with older colleagues There are no older colleagues! People are hired directly by the university so that they are still malleable and cannot speak back to their superiors. Supervisor behavior Micromanagement to the last degree. No leadership responsibility whatsoever. Superiors have no experience in leadership and seem to use Hollywood films as models. They try to brainwash and force employees to be happy. Obvious grievances are deliberately ignored and employees are literally told over and over again how much effort the company puts into their "training" and that gratitude is expected. working conditions Facility is OK. You have to take your laptop home with you every day so that you can still work if you are sick. communication Communication with superiors is a two-way street. Contradictions or other opinions are not welcome. Salary/Benefits Pay is on the lower side. equal rights Everyone is treated equally badly, with the exception of those who curry favor with their superiors. Interesting tasks A job described as "application scientist" is purely a call center job. KPIs are used to determine how many telephone calls are to be made per day, although these are almost exclusively blind calls. Cleaning the handle!
