Horrible & Poor Management - Low Quality Products - Manufacturing Process Engineer Fender Musical Instruments Employee Review

Pros

Legendary product that inspires musicians worldwide. You get to see the creation of beautiful instruments every day, with visits from famous musicians and artists almost every week.

Cons

Toxic work environment with poor leadership and constant instability. High turnover reflects a culture where employees especially those on the shop floor are frequently affected by massive layoffs, despite declining sales year after year. Senior management lacks direction, providing vague goals and almost no feedback, making it difficult to grow or even perform confidently. HR is unhelpful and often acts against employee interests. There are no structured learning or development paths, and career growth is hindered by undefined responsibilities and shifting priorities. A clique of longtime friends in the Sr. Management from the Mexico plant creates a hostile environment for outsiders, specially if you are not mexican or speak spanish and retaliation from leadership is a real concern if you question decisions. Planning is nearly impossible, as directors often change direction with little notice and offer no meaningful guidance. Unless you're comfortable with politics, instability, and poor leadership, I would not recommend joining this company.

Pros

- super chill enviroment - great collegues - huge rock and roll culture - not super demanding depending on yearly projects - lots of fun activities year-round - great place to start your career; use it as a launchpad

Cons

- poor leadership; truly, IDK where they get these leaders from - you wont get any help, expect to be thrown in the deep end - frontline workers complain a lot, makes it hard to implement things
