Pros

FANTASTIC 401k, even for part time employees They have an excellent incentive program for the tellers to make extra money. You can excel here if you try AT ALL. Some people still don't try. Great fitness incentives! I got around three movie tickets for filling out some information online and taking a few quizzes! (Which I had plenty of time to do at work.) Their employee banking program rocks. Get the credit card.

Cons

Management quality is extremely hit or miss. Some branches have fantastic managers and some have awful manager. I have had some truly pathetic experiences with some of the managers at Fifth Third. Very difficult to go full time if you are hired on part time. They tell you in the interview it is easy, but that is just not true. The tellers who are full time have been there for years and years. Full time slots are very difficult to come by in the Dayton area. Dayton is very depressed, so that may not be the case in other areas. This is the most boring job I have ever done in my life. If there isn't a customer in front of you, there is not a thing to do. Retail banking is phasing out thanks to the internet, so traffic is fairly light. I can't tell you how many levels of candy crush I beat in my time working here. Stability is nonexistent. I was moved from branch to branch to branch in my six months working here do to staffing allocation changes. Each location has different hours. Never really got comfortable with a team because I was a part of 4 different branches in six months. Turnover is very high. Not hiring full time tellers means a lot of people take the job until they can get something that actually pays enough to survive on. New tellers every few weeks. I was told I could not have a second job because I had to have open availability for Fifth Third.
