Terrific Company that Shows they Care in the Right Ways - Sales Development Representative FinQuery Employee Review

Pros

- They are constantly adding training programs and benefits - The hard workers and people who are productive do get rewarded. I've gotten bonuses based on my production but I know they aren't telling the whole company every time someone does get a bonus or raise. They didn't do "you've been here for this amount of time so you get a raise" this year but I know some other high achievers who have been rewarded with promotions and bonuses this year. - I've gotten more sales training than at any other job. When I've had a few bad weeks my manager will directly bring it up (more on that in cons) but I'll get constructive advice instead of just "Do better" - I like selling a product that is a market leader for a change and we have a great reputation with our customers. I've worked at a company where my product was not the market leader which makes sales so much harder. - We've had a few town hall meetings lately (remote because of Covid) and the CEO openly answered any question even anonymous ones from employees. Even better they rolled out a few programs based on that feedback so I'm excited that if they get feedback they'll actually do something about it.

Cons

- There is a high bar and if you aren't working hard it will get noticed (I'm in sales so this may not be true of other departments). If your sales numbers aren't where they need to be and you aren't keeping up with your activity you'll get called out fast in your manager meeting. My manager and I have gotten to know each other better so it makes the conversations easier but I know others who have trouble with the pressure and expectations. - They have a 401k and even do matching which is great, but the investment options within the 401k plan or vendor they chose aren't great. I can't customize as much as I want and I'm the type of person who likes to pick specific sectors - Too many meetings. As I said earlier, they do a lot of training but that can lead to extra meetings when it's a topic that I don't need training on. It's not as bad as other companies I have heard about but I'm probably in at least one meeting every couple of weeks I don't need to be in. - Like at every company there are some negative people that just want to complain and drag others down. Being remote and in the middle of a pandemic I think has increased this.

Pros

Amazing benefits and great values. People on my team are great to work with and genuinely respectful. Being able to hybrid work has been a lifesaver for me.

Cons

Extremely fast moving company where design to launch is done at lightening speed leaving very little time to plan & execute training.
