Pros

Staff is knowledge and willing to help interns grow professionally. Depending what department you're in, the internship can be very hands on and a great resume booster.

Cons

The organization holds a lot of events so be prepared to set up stages, step and repeats, chairs, etc.

Pros

The management here are really friendly and are eager to provide interns with work. The structure of the internship is informal which is either a positive thing or a negative thing depending on how you look at it. The internship is basically what you make out of it. if you keep asking them for work they will give it to you. However if you don't, you may find yourself sitting and doing nothing for hours. As an intern there, I got excellent exposure to DC's federal regulatory agencies and was able to meet with several regulators and financial industry members during a conference that the Financial Services Roundtable organized.

Cons

I was not provided with an opportunity to advance to a permanent position. If you want a permanent position with the roundtable, I suggest making that clear from the beginning and working on obtaining that position throughout your internship.
