Pros

Having trouble thinking of any pros to Finning, besides the pay being pretty decent.

Cons

Cumbersome processes, management scared of the executive team who do not seem to use any type of common sense, promotions are given to the next buddy in line and those that do have the education are pushed out or excluded from important conversation. Poor culture that is focused on just getting the work done with very little regard to employees or any work life balance. Absolutely no training is provided in head office and you will be expected to be have the knowledge even though nothing is really formally documented. Culture is very old school and not progressive at all. Would not recommend and has been the worst decision I have ever made.

Pros

Good and hard working employees for the most part, standard industry benefits and great business model for growth

Cons

Many changes within BP&S team in the past few months without leadership or strategic approach; Hiring and keeping expensive contractors instead of keeping knowledgable employees. The CIO acts as a bully and there is no oversight on his costly decisions and the chaos he has created. He was given the ultimate authority by the past leadership team and since they have left Finning, the new leadership team has not assessed CIO’s negative impact and outcomes so far. Moral is low and BP&S employees seem lost while the new CIO brings in more of his people on high paid roles and contracts.
