Pros

I appreciate my current job and the property management company more than I ever would have prior to my experience working for FHG. I left on good terms despite my bad experience.

Cons

The politics of the work place got in the way of me doing my job well. I never was properly trained as a Marriott employee or how to use Fosse PMS. Management was young and inexperienced. My direct supervisor worked with the mentality that we serve her and favoritism was definitely her forte. It was known that she would gossip often so the employees who were not considered to be one of her friends ended up bullied despite their previous experience and positive contributions. She spent a lot of time on her phone at work not working. I do not necessarily think that my experience is reflective of the FHG brand as a whole but my situation was definitely not pleasant.

Thank you for providing this feedback. First Hospitality Group not only strives to be a great company to work for, but we also take a lot of pride in our ability to train, develop, and advance individuals in their hospitality careers. That being said, it pains me to read about the negativity you encountered while working at one of our hotels. Your opinions do matter and I’m sorry you were made to think otherwise. Thank you for your contributions during your time with us and best of luck in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Robert J. Habeeb

Pros

90 days in and I find this to be a fantastic company to work for. Senior leadership really cares about their associates and is very responsive to feedback. My direct report in particular is AMAZING. Love working for him and I feel like he has instilled trust and confidence in what I am bringing to the table.

Cons

Some of the technology is a little behind the company I left (expense reporting in particular), but they are aware and making strides. Insurance has also been a bit of a journey to navigate based on what I had with my previous job, but it's manageable.
