Pros

Other senior members are very nice to work with

Cons

Where can I start, it is run by an incompetent family that hoards the wealth and state of the company. Very spineless, short, greedy and underhanded. Rarely will you ever be recognized for working above and beyond, and when you are there is no financial compensation. Nepotism is the slogan at First Insight. If you are a friend of the family then you are royalty, otherwise you and your time are worth dirt. CEO is clueless and out of touch, trying to chase trends while loading the family’s pockets. Stay away if you have self respect. Any positive reviews are written by the family to alter the review score. All employees I spoke with during my tenure agreed with the above description.

Pros

Great people, supportive team members.

Cons

The founder and CEO creates a toxic atmosphere. He leads by fear. He’ll look you in the eye and publicly tell you that you’re worthless. He regularly tells staff he’s better than anyone at everything they’ll ever do. Even without a reason, he can spiral into a rage, getting angrier and angrier. “No one is as good as I am, I work harder and better than everyone, there has never been anyone quite like me.” The whole company has to endure his rants about the state of the world. It’s small-town America thinking with zero grasp of the wider world. The work environment is horrible. There’s no positivity or encouragement (unless you find fear inspiring), and you don’t get a bonus even if you hit your targets. They regularly fire people, sales reps often don’t get the commissions they’re owed, and the CSM team is overworked. People quit frequently without another job lined up. Health insurance is awful, and taking vacation days is seen as a weakness. All learning and development is self-driven, with no budget. There’s no real HR department—HR is run by the CEO’s , family of the founder, so nothing is confidential
