Pros
Paid health insurance for individual, decent paid time off, but not great: 2 weeks vacation must accrue. Some of the managers really care about you and try to be flexible. Ability to transfer to a different branch to work in front line positions as openings become available. Usually promote from within.
Cons
Poor leadership. No concern for employees only the bottom line. Front line staff only work half day on Saturday, but are required to take a full day vacation if they want a Saturday off. Employees are chastised for using sick time. Executives do not allow managers to manage their own employees; stuck between two different objectives and the executive always wins. Not enough staff to cover amount of work. Very poor salaries and raises. Not competitive within industry or local organizations. Very little employee development, all geared towards sales and tellers. Advancement is minimal; you may see a promotion with a title change, but they give you literally ten to twenty cents an hour to take the new position. Very high turnover. Low employee morale. More people are looking for jobs than they realize.
