Pros

When the work was fairly distributed and clearly defined, the work was fine and engaging. I loved learning and helping other people in other related fields do good work. Some projects were awesome. Others had effectively the worst management communication I've ever dealt with in the industry.

Cons

Honestly, just run for it. I expected this company to live up to its word during my multiple interviews and delayed performance reviews. It took over 5 months to get hired and another 6 for them to start giving me real stuff to do. Everyone I worked with seemed uptight for the most part, and yet no one ever really defined my role. They used that to their advantage and didn't respond to my requests to follow up on original requests made during the first interviews. Even after working diligently to engage with the leadership, I feel that the leadership was all talk, and no action. My tenure was mentally and physically stressful and I have had mental health impacts from working here even just part time.. no one could give me a concrete reason for why I was terminated. I was only paid $22.36 an hour for work that they're willing to salary out at over 80k per year now. Even after parting ways, i feel used by them. They took advantage of my flexibility and willingness to learn and only ever criticized me for my drive. I was so thankful when it ended, but I still feel hurt. If i learned only one thing, I learned that I need to research who I apply to more in the future, so that I can feel confident that I'm doing with that benefits and doesn't hurt my community just because they're paid for it. Even the work they did felt to me like it was wolves in sheep's clothing sometimes

This is why we developed our career development and mentorship programs, weekly team check-ins and our 30/60/90-day reviews to ensure that communication, learning and feedback are at your fingertips. If your check-ins were ever delayed, we encourage staff to reach out to their team leads, HR or senior leadership team to check on the status of these meetings. Salary is something we monitor continually. FCS performs an annual audit of our salary ranges to ensure that they stay competitive. Finally, our Career Grades provide published paths to increase knowledge, skills, and experience that translates to salary increases. Pros

The company's mission it to creative positive impact and value, and they deliver on that both externally and internally. Working on projects that support responsible growth and development and advance the UN SDGs means that we can all take pride in our daily contributions. And, with remote work options and an open forum for career development, the company is invested in creating a positive impact in the team's lives. Despite having employees across many time zones, there are opportunities to connect virtually for "water cooler" time.

Cons

The US and larger global organization cover a wide range of brands, products, and service offerings, so it can be challenging to keep up with what other teams are working on as we get busy on individual projects. Learn Over Lunches and internal newsletters help to bridge those gaps.

Pros

Positive environment. I feel like I’m part of a team even though everyone is virtual. I appreciate the autonomy and responsibility given to me and that there is support when needed. Lots of highly trained experts in their fields to parter with and all are friendly; however’ it can be hard to schedule time with them. Management does a great job checking in with team members.

Cons

Deadlines are tight and expectations are high. Benefits are not extensive. Sometimes project directors are too deferential to clients.
