Pros

-Work/Life Balance is great -Job Security and 401k -Lots of exciting problems to Solve -Great first job after College to get immersed in the Power Industry. -The Senior Supervisors are willing to teach you if you ask the right questions. -Once in a lifetime projects for the next few years. -The people are great, smart knowledgeable, and from all walks of life. -Learn how a Fortune 200 Company Functions

Cons

-Slow moving to get a promotion even with significant increase in job responsibilities. -The real upper management is in Akron, if you want to be a Director it's awfully hard if your in a satellite office. -Dates, Schedules, Work Hours are always in flux for the good and the bad. -Lots of moving parts and it's easy to get lost in the system.

Pros

FirstEnergy is a big company with a lot of growth that I've seen firsthand. Employees are helpful and all have the shared goals of keeping reliability of the electric grid. The pay is decent and stays competitive with the market rates as they do reviews consistently and evaluate. Its a great company that is trying to do better after misguided leads hip in the past

Cons

Some executive leadership vision is not shared with lower level employees. The recent transition from WFH back to the office has left employees such as myself wondering why its not role based WFH.

Pros

Great office work-group, both staffers and managers

Cons

As covid came upon us, sharing the time in-office was necessary but challenging however the team effort worked well so we could all get our required work done
