Pros
Basically a design services company with no internal product/projects. You are farmed out like a contractor, however you are salaried and treated like a full time employee however will report to your client's management structure. Some contracts are onesy/twosy like a standard contractor and some are large turnkey teams with all management done by FPE with little client interface. Thus:
Variety of assignments and a chance to wear many hats.
Chance to switch up roles from project to project and learn new skills
Interesting work on some projects other not so much.
Benefits are just like a standard company with the exception of equity. (Salary,
Bonuses, vacation, full A+ health insurance, holidays, 401K match, yearly reviews)
If you live in Denver/ColoSprings/Phoenix Area required to go to office, but leniency to work from home a few days a week. If you are remote its 100% work from home.
Since you are billing a client, most of the time its 40hrs/week capped so great quality of life. However if OT is required, you get paid for it. None of this required unpaid OT like the corporate world.
Good opportunity to step up and chart your own path without politics or management forcing your hand (Client will sometimes however)
Cons
Sometimes can get uninteresting work or questionable client....but its short term so you can be onto next client in a matter of months.
Little interface with your FPE so sometimes it can be hard for feedback and/or HR issues. But that can be a PRO too however you look at it?
