Pros

Great position initially. I loved the travel and residents that were so grateful to be getting maintenance, often horrible deferred maintenance repaired and were very good about paying rent even during those times. They were all cooperative for the most part and realized we were actually trying to help them through a confusing and poor situation when they rented homes in foreclosure and were unaware of such.

Cons

Then I was working 7 days a week traveling over 4000 miles per month in GA and TN handling residential and commercial properties without any regard for the excess mileage and the amount of gas being used when gas was over $4.00 a gallon. VP completely disregarded my requests for increases. Then a new VP joined and he was a Power trip that didn't even KNOW my area or how many miles I was traveling per month, but loved to point out if something wasn't in on time. I spent 23 hours in my vehicle on one trip because Fannie Mae called for an inspection in Memphis and I had just returned, but was forced to return and go back to Memphis from GA. I loved our first VP who fully understood what our team was up against and empathized if nothing else. Because of my honesty and opinion of the new VP I was terminated while I was ill. Less than a year later I had a triple bypass and two stents. The VP was trying to say I was feigning an illness when in fact my heart was failing and I was terminated without cause. Afterwards when I spoke with HR, they asked why I didn't bring it to the attention of someone over the VP so it could have been handled, but that was all moot at that point.

Pros

They take good care of the office people

Cons

Field workers are second hand citizens. Nepotism by language. Promote people that don't have the skill sets to do the job. The people that have the common sense to be leadership at this point don't want the responsibility anymore. What does that say?
