Pros
The pay is decent for store manager and you get to focus on just product and service. There is no worries about selling bs warranties or credit cards. The DM's and regionals I have met are good people who provide good feedback.
Cons
Payroll - Payroll was tight before and then they went to a new model that is basically ludicrous. I have been in retail a while and I am used to running light but it is not even reasonably practical to run with the hours I am expected to. There isn't even any time to recover stores properly or to work freight properly let alone do their "world recoveries." The new labor model makes me contemplate leaving while I enjoy most other aspects of the job. The benefits are also pretty mediocre but not awful. The bonus program is garbage for the store manager level, almost to the point of insulting.
