No respect for employees. You are expendable. - Red Shirt Five Guys Employee Review

Pros

It paid minimum wage, which is better than no money at all. Hours were flexible, but scheduling was chaotic, inconsistent, and sometimes my coworkers were begging for hours just to manage to pay rent for the month.

Cons

I worked here for almost 2 years. I was never given any sort of employee review. Never given a raise. I always did anything that was asked of me and was always on time. This company just sees you as a replacable, low-cost, worker that they can find a replacement for within the week. If one store's staff quits en mass, the surrounding town's stores help the store hobble along and manage to survive. Overall, the people who work here are grossly underpaid, extremely undervalued, and not respected by the upper management.

Pros

They will teach you everything you need to be successful. They have much higher standards than most places, one of the few places I'd have no problem eating at any location. They'll make sure you have everything you need to meet those standards, especially once you get to a management level. They have corporate trainers and the GM at my location was also great. I'm a GM at a different place now and my experience here left me well prepared me for that position.

Cons

Pay. That's the only reason I left, I would have stayed with the company if I could have gotten a raise and I would definitely return if they offered something comparable to what I'm making elsewhere.
