Pros

Working at Five Guys has been fun, and a great experience. Every team member has a great attitude, and you really pull each other along during the good and bad. If you need help with anything, you can just ask. Every team member is knowledgeable of every station, but typically excels in one or two. The Secret Shopper bonuses can be a pretty penny, and although stressful, Sterotech visits ensure the customers that the business is running a extremely clean and healthy establishment.

Cons

Not many negatives; different people could see these as positive aspects. Depending on your area's lunch and dinner rushes the job could be very hectic and sometimes stressful. There is always something to clean during down time... that being said if the shift lead/general manager decides labor is too high, you'll be sent home (Even if you've been there for an hour). Try to work night shifts if you need the hours, for you could be there until midnight if you have a Phantom Shop/baseball team come in late. During closing it is a rush to clean and get out fast, but if you don't complete your area 100% you'll have to re-do it.

Pros

They will teach you everything you need to be successful. They have much higher standards than most places, one of the few places I'd have no problem eating at any location. They'll make sure you have everything you need to meet those standards, especially once you get to a management level. They have corporate trainers and the GM at my location was also great. I'm a GM at a different place now and my experience here left me well prepared me for that position.

Cons

Pay. That's the only reason I left, I would have stayed with the company if I could have gotten a raise and I would definitely return if they offered something comparable to what I'm making elsewhere.
