Pros

Good benefits including quarterly bonuses, phone and gym paid for and work from home flexibility

Cons

No real vision or strategic direction - the business started as the only Google Marketing Platform partner in the market however as competitors entered they gradually lost market share because they don’t really have any competitive advantage apart from being the longest GMP partner in APAC (instead of awards and case studies that competitors use). This results in limited opportunities for new customers and trying to compete purely based on price. It also isn’t really clear what management do or processes they want you to follow, in many meetings that are held are typically run and managed by specific employees No real employee performance metrics - the business does have a quarterly OKR, however, many of the tasks could be considered pointless busy work that doesn’t have any real impact for improving results for clients or bringing in new business/revenue No real career growth opportunities - of the time I was in the business I only know of one person being promoted out of the 50 odd people in the whole business. Along with the lack of real employee performance metrics there is zero structure to be able to grow your career or even make the case to management. There is an opportunity to gain more technical knowledge in the Google Marketing Platform (mainly through Google training) however this will only potentially help your career if you want to work for a competitor or client Minimal/limited training - there are training sessions held during the monthly group meeting, however, these are usually highly technical with usually little to no real impact for customers. There also isn’t really a formal onboarding process Limited cross market collaboration - often the employees within the different regions will do their own thing leading to an inconsistent approach to customer success and sales including cold outreach, the creation of presentation decks and videos (the monthly ‘all hands’ meetings are generally the only collaboration between countries)
