I'll preface this by saying that engineers and executives do seem to have opportunities for impactful work here. Everybody else is disposable. Other employees don't get paid well because their work is relatively mindless and insignificant. Employee retention numbers -- even in engineering and at the executive level -- are BRUTAL. Free snacks and office dogs don't constitute a culture. Flexport is a freight forwarder. In the landscape of freight forwarding, I have no doubt that it's a relatively good one to work for. If you're certain that you want a long career in logistics, work here. Do not work here if you're interested in tech or startups -- the grass is much, much greener elsewhere. Do not work here if you care about doing meaningful work, developing transferrable skills, or being paid well. Do not work here with the expectation that you, or your colleagues, will stick around for very long. An embarrassingly large proportion of my former co-workers have also since left. I know that many of them, like me, are glad they did.
