Pros
The administration and board of trustees like employees with no ethics and who are at least slightly incompetent. If you can’t get a job at another “university” because of these attributes you will fit in great here! Another bonus is the 27 point culture program that the “university” paid $40k in state dollars for. If you are into cult like mentality, you will really enjoy this. They even had mandatory quizzes the first 27 weeks to drill it into employees heads! If you are interested in being part of an organization that takes state money to pay big salaries and pay for an expensive garden, but nickel and dime the education efforts, this is your kind of place! Millennials need to quit “complaining “ about getting a good education!
Cons
All of the positive employees complaining about all the other employees (negative people) who like ethics, doing the right thing, and students. They need to quit harassing and bullying everyone else who hasn’t joined the cult! If you don’t like discrimination and harassment, this may not be your cup of tea. Misogyny is pretty rampant (you better smile!). Offensive rhetoric from the people on top is a M-F affair. If you are competent and live by the code of “doing the right thing”... run! You will be quickly labeled “negative” and wonder how you ended up in a job that gaslights you on the daily.
