Pros
The experience provided significant personal and professional growth. I developed skills and resilience that will serve me well in any future role. I had the opportunity to work alongside highly talented colleagues. Many were generous with their time and mentorship, and I learned a great deal from them. Exposure to challenges at this company built adaptability and problem-solving skills that are valuable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Cons
Decision-making is highly centralized, with even basic operational approvals (such as provisioning customer licenses) requiring CEO involvement. This creates bottlenecks and slows execution. Leadership has demonstrated inconsistencies between what is promised and what is delivered. For example, I was told I would receive ramp commissions that never materialized. Internal politics weigh heavily on company direction. Individuals and departments without a track record of results are still given outsized influence in decision-making. Operational challenges are significant, yet leadership, particularly the CEO, publicly dismisses operations as an issue. This refusal to acknowledge and address the problem continues to limit the company’s ability to scale effectively.
