Pros

Discount and credit every month on the website In a way I’m thankful for such a terrible experience because it drew me to applying for another role with a new company, which I otherwise wouldn’t have done. And I can tell you they treat me with a lot more respect than Flowerbx ever did.

Cons

Where to start! - firstly, don’t trust the Trustpilot and Google reviews as they actively encourage employees to write positive ones to boost credibility - remote working is pretty isolating (where there isn’t much in the way of on boarding, so you feel very left out of conversations and knowledge) - CEO Whitney is really lovely and friendly but I genuinely worry for the future of the company as she admits she doesn’t know a lot about technology and really needs the help: it’s not very empowering or puts you at ease considering this is a digital company - you’re expected to work all hours and if you don’t, this is used against you. The contract you get doesn’t state your weekly contracted hours either so that is how they get around that - holiday entitlement isn’t the best - toxic and rude leadership team who seem to have a headless chicken mentality going on. Again, this doesn’t fill you with confidence and it feels like the wrong things are being prioritised. When you suggest what could be a priority, you get met with excuses and push backs - no support from line management. It was like they were fed up with me asking for help or asking for knowledge most of the time. Don’t want to be a line manager? Don’t do it

As you’ve taken the time to share your feedback, we’d like to respond to the concerns you raised. We value individuals sharing their experience with FLOWERBX and actively encourage the team to remind their family and friends to leave a positive review when they’ve received flowers from us. Remote working isn’t for everyone and we understand the isolation some people may experience. This is why every employee has access to a co-working budget and is encouraged to meet up with other members of the team as often as they wish to do so. Each team also receives an engagement budget for meet ups and social activities. As a seasonal business, we experience busy periods throughout the year. We appreciate how hard the team works and value their commitment. We state hours of work in our UK employment contract (9 am - 6 pm). We offer flexible working and encourage employees to take time back when they have worked outside of their usual hours. We offer 25 days’ annual leave (plus public holidays) as well as a day off for your birthday and a day to support your favourite charity. We appreciate the need for continual improvement which is why we value feedback. We continue to invest in the development of the team by providing ongoing training and support, as well as access to an Employee Assistance Programme which offers counselling and career coaching. Teamwork, supportive colleagues, encourage we each other. An environment where you learn and grow. I feel my work is impactful and helps the teams. Helps to be surrounded by beauty!

Pros

- Hybrid working model (lots of autonomy on when/where we work from when in-person) - Work/life balance and flexible scheduling (as a working parent of two young children this is major) - Team is an amazing mix of people from different personal and professional backgrounds - Exciting to work for an ever-changing business with new challenges and opportunities - Generous PTO and parental leave policies

Cons

- Very fast paced and high pressure (not a con, but requires the right type of employee and work ethic)
