Pros
There are some great brands within the company, whereby some of that greatness still exists left over from these brands, specifically the people and the products. A great place to learn. There is some fantastic knowledge and experience within the company. Average pay, pension, etc.
Cons
Flowserve went around the world buying up the best in most pump/valve areas, so it is made up of some amazing brands. Unfortunately the corporation stripped this down piece by piece, largely for ill-conceived cost-saving measures. This has led to the corporation being a shell of it's former glory and the staff are left very disillusioned and disinterested. Staff are massively disengaged, due to closures, redundancies and cost cutting. Not the best company atmosphere. Typical corporate model, it's always about more and more profit, so quality and customer care suffers, which affects job satisfaction. Company has become too large, so is inefficient, cumbersome and slow to react.
