Pros

The first and most important pro for working at Focal Point is our Founder. He is a great businessman, dedicated, and laser focused on making the company grow and thrive. He has excellent leadership abilities and judgements that have allowed our work environment to become what it is today and filling it with the right people for the job in making Focal Point a powerhouse in the procurement space.

Cons

While most of the team are locally based, there are many of us that are out of state and I think that does add extra difficulty to become a cohesive team. But, the constant communication and collaboration helps reduce the distance affect.

Pros

The best thing about Focal Point is the culture. Leadership has done an excellent job at curating a team of positive, dedicated, and kind people. It was clear to me on my first day that the team was incredibly bright and immediately willing to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with me as a young professional. The ability to learn is abundant and the opportunity to grow with the organization is very exciting and appealing for me as a young professional.

Cons

Although not a con for me, this is a smaller company. I enjoy the ability to get to know every team member and form close bonds, but if you're looking for a large corporate feel, you won't find that here. There's nowhere to hide at a small company, but if you're there to work hard and learn lots, that's not a con at all.
