Very Bad All Around - Lab Technician Food Safety Net Services Employee Review

Pros

The people are very kind with training. Lots of opportunities for advancement if it's the career you desire.

Cons

Management is completely lacking in reliability, If you don't stay on top of them nothing will get done on their end. With the constantly revolving door of new employees, you think they'd have training down but even that is completely unreliable. Pay and benefits are well beneath average for the industry.

We encourage feedback from our employees, and we take concerns seriously and investigate each one. Our employees and our customers are at the center of all we do. I hope you will take the time to talk with one of the managers at the location and/or the Regional who offices in Omaha. (Lot's of opportunities to voice concerns and find solutions) You have every opportunity to move up with this company – completing the proper training will allow you to move up in your lab to include additional pay. We are constantly looking at our total rewards to include base pay, benefits, etc. We also have a tuition reimbursement program allowing you to pursue a master’s degree. If you are willing to travel and/or relocate, then there can be even more opportunities presented. We will continue to create a culture where our employees are happy, engaged, valued and appreciated. You may contact me directly since I know you have my contact information. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR.

Pros

Some growth opportunities available depending on location / current lab needs.

Cons

Since it’s part of certified group, upper management does not understand the individual needs of each lab enough to effectively run things. Mandatory overtime at most locations. Not a lot of explanation of how to do certain things or why they are done. Poor wages and terrible health insurance.
