Pros

A lot of training and development opportunity, in fact it is encourages. There is no feeling of hierarchy, everyone views each other as equals including senior management. Everyone is approachable and ready to help. A real family, sociable environment and culture. Lots of banter across the whole team. Autonomy and opportunity to innovate. You are given the opportunity to bring your own spin on things and trying new things is encouraged and supported. Excellent work life balance and flexible working.

Cons

There are no real cons for me. As a new role my duties area little undefined but I am also given autonomy to make the role my own.

Pros

- Exposure to agile working and agile project management, which is great for building experience. - Flexible working hours in principle (though not always respected in practice). - Opportunity to learn a lot quickly in a small, growing company.

Cons

- Agile working can be a double-edged sword: while it helps you learn fast, it can also lead to staff being overworked without proper incentives or rewards (more an issue with individual managers than the company overall). - "Flexible working" is advertised, but in practice some managers still expect a strict 9–5 presence regardless of results. - Promotions often appear to be based on tenure or relationships rather than performance. - Bonus and incentive structures are unclear and low, even when exceeding expectations. - The “family” culture can feel uncomfortable at times, with oversharing of personal life. - Career growth opportunities look good on paper but are limited in reality.
