Pros

As the headline states, Foothills Marine's atmosphere is much different than other dealerships. They foster an environment of teamwork - with weekly manager meetings and daily team meetings. The sales team is not paid on commission - which eases the customer-staff relationship and creates an all-around friendlier environment. Instead of sales staff butting heads to land their next deal, they work together to sell the next boat. Performance incentives are in place for all facets of the company - and Foothills honors their incentive payments upon review of the respective work. Management communicates tasks and expectations clearly. Great management who relentlessly work through challenges and set the standard for how a dealership should operate.

Cons

As the marine industry is highly seasonal, so is the work. Long days equate to long work weeks. When the sales season slows down, the staff schedule remains the same - creating occasional lulls and periods of inactivity.

Because management staff is so stable and tenured, it can be hard sometimes to promote top performers into elevated roles.
