The leadership here is awful—there's no other way to put it. Upper management seems out of touch with reality, micromanaging everything while failing to provide any real direction or support. They've gone through multiple CEO changes, including terminations that highlight years of poor decision-making, and the new folks aren't any better. It's like they're steering a ship without a compass, leading to confusion and low morale across teams. Employees are left scrambling because there's no clear strategy, and revenue-generating ideas get ignored in favor of whatever the latest whim is. The HR department? What HR department? It's practically nonexistent. When issues arise, like unfair blame-shifting or department conflicts, there's no one to turn to—managers just sweep problems under the rug and point fingers at staff. No support for work-life balance, no real policies for growth or complaints, and definitely no care for employee well-being. It's toxic, and it shows in the high turnover and constant frustration. Overall, FordDirect has deteriorated into a place where good ideas go to die, and talented people leave in droves. Pay isn't competitive, the culture is stifling, and without major changes, it's only getting worse. Avoid if you value your career and sanity.

Great benefits and some coworkers are amazing

Cons

HR has way too much influence over the organization. The culture within my tenure of five years took a nose dive and it became a toxic place to work. The performance system was weaponized against good staff. Before leaving it was clear all of the top performers were leaving for jobs at companies with healthier cultures. The accounting department is a toxic clicky environment full of staff without degrees. It was very sad to see such a prior good company go down hill and become very toxic.
