Pros

Manage your own time and be your own boss. Lunch every Friday for free. It has a decent corporate location.

Cons

No benefits, and trainees make the minimum on the street. No surprise there. No direction from management. No analyst or support mechanism.

Pros

Being with experienced brokers with over 35 years of experience with deep knowledge in securities' research and sales, to me it was a no brainer to accept the offer. I happen to fit in this culture as it is about getting better, putting the work in, and working at the highest levels to achieve each goal that is placed in front of you being following the law, doing good for our clients, and doing the right thing. Professional mindsets seen, it is Wall Street after all.

Cons

You have to start from 0. build your book, and that's where the real work begins. I don't consider this as a negative connotation as we are providing great value to current clients. I'm sure they are happy to achieve the results they get through our firm, and the continuous work from our investment banking side, and the value they keep getting from our senior brokers, staff and the entire firm.

Pros

You are your own boss, you come and go as you want, you get out what you put in, nobody is going to be looking over your shoulder, you won't get screwed over here like other boutique firms.

Cons

Salary is 1200/month before tax which is pretty standard as a broker, office drama sometimes takes over, your gonna work with people who have no business being a broker, office is pretty empty.
