Pros
Formlabs is setting the pace in an exciting industry, with inspiring customers spanning myriad industries, award-winning products, and a fun, international culture. Given the nature of the product and industry, Formlabs draws a much more diverse employee base than typical tech companies - I met some amazing people working there. The company has historically done a great job fostering cross-department collaboration and community, which let me get to know people in different areas with different backgrounds. Like any early-stage company, there is a lot of work to do, but I think it is an excellent environment for driven people who are inspired by the company's mission to do really interesting work and see an impact. I have recommended Formlabs to several people and will continue to do so!
Cons
Formlabs is a growth-oriented company in a competitive industry - as such, the pace can be challenging at times, and tradeoffs are made trying to balance long-term company success with short-term needs. If you are looking to maximize short-term financial goals (meaning get the highest base salary) or work in a neatly defined, low-stress, structured job, Formlabs may not be the best place for you. But if you want to build or advance your career working alongside bright, driven colleagues with inspiring customers, I think Formlabs is a good option.
