Pros

Reasonable salary Flexible working at the time, although used as leverage Excellent colleagues/team

Cons

1. Diabolical management structure; an inexperienced and arrogant leader given no training on how to lead but desperate for senior leadership approval so worked the team and their self to the bone. Only ever heard from senior leadership to complain/critique or super occasionally after a very busy period by email chain. 2. Zero transparency of implementation of operational changes which caused utterly avoidable failures in daily processes. 3. Zero work life balance; regular demands to work extreme overtime and/or on public holidays. These demands were often made with little to no notice. 4. When overtime was undertaken there was rarely any offer for recompense, and requests to "take back hours" were met with attitude as if the employee were cheating the company. 5. If you died in the office HR would make it your fault. The most calculated and cruel behaviour by a so called professional I've ever had the displeasure to witness. When pushed for outside support it was evetually and begrudgingly provided, and fully vindicated the concerns raised. 6. Excessive workload, beyond reasonable expectations. 7. Utter refusal by management to change processes as suggested by the staff who did the jobs, leading to frustration and overloading. 8. Complete lack of team/company ethos, every team works in a silo to protect their little realm of power.

Pros

Solid, stable, predictable. Most people are out of the office by 4 or 5 pm. Life is easy and expectations are low.

Cons

Little support for marketing. Fortinet has too many products and too many product lines - and every product owner is fighting for attention of sales. The company is firmly wedded to it's hardware roots. Fortinet has not invested in internal systems. Reporting is awkard and cumbersome, and adaption on enterprise AI is still a long ways off. There are no women in senior roles.
