Pros

It's a check that ensures you will not become homeless

EVERYTHING!!! Coaches and Operation Managers should ONLY be promoted IF and WHEN they have walked in an agents shoes in that SPECIFIC department for AT LEAST a year! Very few API managers have actually worked as an API agent and most of them do not have the correct answers if you ask them a question. USAA members are very rude and have a God complex. They will talk down to you and play the victim card over the littlest thing that at other companies would not even be an issue. Get rid of USAA, you can do better. No one deserves to be treated the way that USAA members treat us. Stop being cheap and make billing do their job. API IS NOT BILLING!?!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!?!?

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
