Pros

Working from home full time work

Cons

Misleading management Hostile environment, bullying from coaches Poor training Poor communication Wage theft There are so many cons to list. I started working as a chat support representative and after a few months they "promoted" me against my will to a customer care professional. This is where you take tier 2 calls from escalated customers. They refused to pay me more than a tier 1 rep. I did this for about a year and it was pure agony. My coach was a awful person who pretty much did whatever they want because they have no real oversight. She came in late everyday, was rude, would ignore peoples PLEAS for assistance with troublesome customers and would refuse to take manager calls. We were once even pulled into a conference and berated for about 2 hours because we asked for better working systems and conditions. She later jumped ship once the client filed for bankruptcy and announced they were closing all of their stores. Sitel also refused to work with me with my ADA accommodations requested by my doctor and my last coach basically told me that sometimes life isn't fair. They also *never* fixed time card corrections. Their wyse systems they send you are all slow and buggy. They freeze constantly and you can end up having to restart your system several times a day, they refuse to pay you for that time even though it is their systems and it's not your fault. Stay far away.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
